Handmade versus digital
Julien Vallée is a Montreal based graphic / motion-designer using manual processes supported by the technological tools of today to bridge as many disciplines as he can. In collaboration with design studio Serial Cut he made the cover art of the Computer Arts Projects magazine (Issue 133). The A is a new physical award created by YCN. Julien Vallée was asked to create an image that includes the letter A.

Open Mind
Pavlov E-lab presents Open Mind, a project in which art and science encounter one another. The theme is TIME. Chronobiologist Martha Merrow, a specialist in the field of the biological clock, and theoretical physician Eric Bergshoeff, specialized in the String Theory, are linked to cinematographer Nelleke Koop and animator Max Hattler (see 'Spin').
